Experienced Senior Associate, Forensic Data & Analytics 2024 The Forensic Data Analytics Experienced Senior Associate is an individual who demonstrates experience, skillsets, and autonomy in applying forensic data analytics to complex legal and compliance matters. The Senior Associate is responsible for validating, analyzing, and reporting on large complex datasets, supervising, and reviewing the work of Associates, working with the engagement Manager, interacting with clients, and contributing to practice and business development initiatives.

Job Duties

Provides forensic analytics services to a variety of clients including outside counsel, regulators, and companies involved in litigation, investigations, disputes, regulatory and compliance matters

Supports forensic assignments related to fraud, anti-money laundering, insurance risks, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), disputes and other matters

Develops and executes data ingestion, cleansing, and tracking processes

Analyzes financial, operational, transactional, and other data sets

Prepares high-quality deliverables to ensure client satisfaction

Maintains a proactive and logical approach to information gathering, combining complex ideas and clear and effective information presentation

Contributes to and leads internal initiatives to improve processes, develop standard procedures, research new tools, and create new offerings

Builds strong internal relationships within BDO’s Forensics practice and with other services across the Firm

Acts with professionalism and integrity when working with confidential and sensitive information

Works on international projects with potential of 20% or more domestic and/or international travel

Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises the day-to-day workload of Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems, preferred


  • Three (3) or more years of experience in client-facing data analytics consulting, preferred
  • Prior financial and/or statistical analysis, business valuation, public accounting, and/or forensic analytics experience, preferred
  • Experience in maintaining client relationships, preferred
  • Experience in the following areas, preferred:
  • Forensic Analytics
  • Compliance Analytics
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Fraud Analytics
  • Data Visualization
  • Data Automation
  • Data Warehousing


CFE, CPA, and/or CAMS, preferred

Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle certifications, preferred

Tableau or Power BI certification, preferred


Ability to write SQL queries and manage large data sets within SQL Server or other databases to support various forensic reporting, required

Experience with Python, R, and/or other programming languages or tools, preferred

Experience with data profiling and data management tools, preferred

Experience with data visualization software, preferred


Fluency on Spanish and/or Mandarin (read, speak and/or write), preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $110,000 – $125,000

Colorado Range: $110,000 – $125,000

New York City/ Valhalla Range: $110,000 – $125,000

Washington Range: $110,000 – $125,000
