Management Accountant jobs reed uk 2024 Aila is excited to partner with a leading, listed, and global business in Central London in the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

We’re looking for an ACCA/CIMA part-qualified accountant who is comfortable working in a large, US-owned business, with experience in taking complete control of management accounts in a hands-on ownership role. The role involves ensuring compliance with local laws and GAAP, overseeing entities management and preparing financial statements. You will also manage retail opex and freight accounting analysis for EMEA.

You will be a confident and assuring individual with excellent communication skills and possess the ability to make judgement and take ownership in month end decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Own the General Ledgers and all internal/external reporting and compliance requirements for the assigned European legal entities and retail channels

Implement and develop robust accounting processes for assigned entities, ensuring compliance with SOX

Collaborate with and aid various departments, including Tax, FP&A, and operations teams, in analysing specific allocated P&L costs

Ensure timely completion of all assigned financial close procedures and prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, along with any other necessary reports

Responsible for completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Responsible for preparation and coordination of year-end information for audits and completion of local statutory accounts

Ensure SOX / Internal Audit compliance for assigned entities

Closely align and partner with FP&A team to understand the Plan/Forecast each quarter for all retail stores

Closely track and explain variances of actuals versus Plan/Forecast in conjunction with FP&A

Build and develop strong working relationship with the Retail Ops

Monthly variances analysis of retail OPEX across all EMEA entities, with explanations on the variances against forecast and against the monthly trend

Monthly reconciliation of retail sales, across all EMEA entities

Review EMEA retail channel margin and related provisions

Produce and maintain analysis and reconciliation of Gift Cards issued for the UK Stores, and reflect deferred revenue accordingly

Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet analysis plus commentary on variances against forecast

Preparation of financial statements under local Statutory requirements
